Set within the Batman universe, it follows the story of four of Batman's protégés – Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood – as they try to protect Gotham City after the apparent death of Batman.

The game features an open-world environment that can be explored both on foot and using various vehicles. Players can switch between characters at any time, each with their unique fighting style, weapons, and abilities. The game also offers cooperative gameplay, allowing up to two players to join forces to complete missions together.

The plot is expected to follow the heroes' efforts to take down the Court of Owls – a secret society that controls Gotham from behind the scenes. Along the way, players will encounter various villains from the Batman universe, including Mr. Freeze and the Penguin.
